Uncommon History

What is so uncommon about history anyway? I'm glad you asked! The most uncommon aspect of history is often the interpretation of it. Historians, authors, buffs and the like often make claims of unbiased interpretation of events. The fact is, in my biased opinion, is that there is no such thing as an unbiased interpretation. That's what makes the study of history so fascinating!

A Little About Me

Patrick G. Whalen: History and writing have always been of a particular interest to me. I penned my first mystery novel at the ripe age of 8 and still have the single remaining manuscript of construction and typing paper. From a young age, the US Civil War, also commonly referred to as The War Between The States, has been in the forefront of my thoughts, dreams and nightmares. As with most periods in the history of the world, I often place myself in "what-if" scenarios and mentally wander off in search of how I would have reacted, acted, and participated in those events. Such mental excercises have led me to many Uncommon paths.
